Just writing a wee update. I've had a horrible toothache for the last 4 days which I'm hoping will be resolved tomorrow. I'm thinking a great deal about the coming holidays, yet am not feeling the excitement, nor warmth of the season. I do hope this passes, as I believe it can be a magical and tender time of year...
More to come... THANKS...
and HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL ~
I do hope your tooth is feeling better! Noting can put a damper on any occasion than a bum tooth.
ReplyDeleteI do know what you mean about not feeling the excitement or "magic" of the season. For some reason this year...I just feel weary. I think everyone has just had a hard year and we need to remind ourselves how to be kids again.
I think I need another pendant like the one you made my husband, but with his sign on it instead of mine with the boys. So we have matching set. It looks so cute on him...I LOVE IT. And have not taken my little goody off since I got mine either...so precious. I think I would want to hang it with the one I want to get. I do have stones, and we would LOVE to be official east coast stone hunters for you, if you like. :) Thank you! Now off to investigate this blog......mmmmmmmmm
I hope your tooth is feeling better, too, Jackie! Pain of any kind is such a huge drain on energy and emotions....
ReplyDeleteI know what you both mean about this year...where is that seasonal "shot in the arm" of excitement and sparkle? Here's what I do...(just in case it'll help?) I go back to the Grinch puzzling 'til his puzzler his sore and Eloise scampering through the Plaza with her trinkles and jingles and the sound of Linus at the keyboard for the school pagaent and Bing Crosby whistling "White Christmas" and Jimmy Stewart listening for the angel's bell..... And if that doesn't do it, a Tom & Jerry (strong)usually helps! ;-)
By the way...if you haven't already bought Bob Dylan's Christmas CD, it's a wonderful thing to do because all profits go to charity...but you may not want to listen to it. Even though I dearly love Dylan, his voice is far, far gone, and it's painful to listen to...except maybe after that Tom & Jerry. :-)
Cheers to you!!!
